Jan Yordy has been working with children and parents for over 25 years, first as an elementary teacher and later as a child counsellor and play therapist.

Jan holds:

• a Master of Education degree
• a Master of Social Work
• certification in play therapy with the Canadian Association of Child and Play Therapists.
• certification in Brain Gym.

Born in the United States and a resident in Canada for over twenty years, Jan and her family make their home in Elmira, Ontario. She maintains a private practice in nearby St. Jacobs, Ontario and is a founding member of the Integrated Centre for Optimal Learning.

Jan has presented at the following major conferences:

• International EMDR Conference (2003)
• International Energy Pshych Conf (2000-present)
• European International EPC (2003)
• International Play Therapy Conference (2004)

...and she also provides other workshops to share her unique ways of working with children.

Jan enjoys bringing together innovative ways of working with children through her expertise as:

• a play therapist,
• a Level 2 trained EMDR therapist,
• through her knowledge of brain gym and energy psychology techniques,
• and through her work with Indigo and Crystal children.

Her game reflects her creative ways of integrating her knowledge and expertise to help all children heal.
